Directions to the Knockdown Center

We’re so very excited to see you at A Nutcracker, Part I. Here’s a bit of information about how to get to the show and where to drink after.

Our performances are held at the amazing Knockdown Center which is located at 52-19 Flushing Avenue in Masbeth, Queens. Don’t worry, it’s actually not that hard to get to. Regardless of your method of transportation, once you arrive you should come up the stairs and approach the stretch of glass doors on the right – proceed to the set of doors closest to the building itself and come inside!

BY TRAIN Take the L train to the Jefferson Stop, exit the subway via the Wykoff and Jefferson side, and walk along either Troutman St. or Flushing Avenue towards Metropolitan Avenue – once you pass Metropolitan, you’ll want to be on the left hand side of the street. Just before you get to 54th Street, you’ll see a long stretch of corrugated metal fencing on your left, inside of which is a factory with two large smokestacks set back from the sidewalk. That’s Knockdown Center!

BY CAR Easy parking! It’s available along the white wall on your left as you enter the parking lot (left turn from Flushing just before 54th St.)

BY CAR SERVICE

Knockdown Center has a special partnership with the on demand transportation service Uber to provide new Uber users a free ride (up to $25) to or from Knockdown Center.

Using Uber’s free iPhone/Android/Blackberry 7 app, you can request a pickup and a car driven by a professional driver will show up in minutes. Your credit card is billed directly for your trip and there’s no need to tip, so you won’t need to carry cash. You can even see the car coming towards you on a map!

Signup for Uber with code KNOCKDOWN and your first ride is on us! Request a pickup through the app, and in under 5 minutes a car will be curbside waiting to take you to or from the Knockdown Center (new users only, excluding uberT).

AFTER THE SHOW:

Please join us at our post-show hangout location, "The Bodega" which is at 24 St. Nicholas Ave at the SE corner of St. Nicholas & Troutman. To get there from Knockdown you take Flushing to Troutman, turn left onto Troutman, walk on the left side of the street and then when you get cross over St. Nicholas you will see a wooden door and that is it!

A NOTE ON SEATING:

A Nutcracker, Part I is an immersive show, and the audience will be on their feet for the majority of the show. Chairs will be made available to those who desire them, and may be placed anywhere in the room (except for on the actual stages – you’ll see). The duration of the performance is a bit under an hour!
